As you wander through its streets, you may encounter a colourful visitor from a distant world;
look up, and find yourself searching for a creature that belongs to the wild;
and as night falls, the city begins to glow, as another world quietly draws near.

From the Netherlands, Teatro Pavana brings larger-than-life puppets into the urban landscape, combining physical theatre with spontaneous interaction to place these extraordinary visitors right among us. They are not merely there to be seen. Curious, playful and full of character, they may approach, observe you closely, and perhaps even remember you.

Perhaps today, you will be the first friend they meet.

Pappagalli

A trio of unexpected visitors has arrived in the city.

Three vividly coloured parrots move through the streets with unmistakable confidence, proudly displaying their magnificent plumage. It is little wonder they seek attention—their feathers are so radiant that they are almost impossible to resist.

As the music begins, the birds break into an elegant dance, their brilliant colours unfolding with every movement.

Confident by nature, they can also be playful, affectionate and, on occasion, rather mischievous.

But do not be fooled by their charm. Parrots are spirited creatures with remarkable memories—and once they have taken a liking to you, they may not forget you so easily.

Giraffe

A branch cracks. Leaves stir. Something moves among the bushes…

And suddenly, a towering giraffe is standing before you.

Quiet and poised, they move through the crowd with remarkable grace, occasionally bending their long necks to nibble at a leaf, or pausing to offer a gentle nod to someone passing by.

A creature that belongs to the open wild has somehow wandered into the city.

Giraffes may appear gentle and curious, but remember—they are, after all, wild animals.

So admire them from a respectful distance, and keep looking. You never know where they may appear next.

Night Colors

Dusk descends, and the first lights of the city begin to glow.

As day gives way to night, a group of tall, mysterious figures emerges in the distance.

Clad in silver-white, they seem to carry their own light, which glimmers softly as they move through the darkness. Their elongated silhouettes and luminous faces give them an otherworldly presence—as, though they have slipped quietly out of another realm and into the city.

They are the spirits of the night.

As the music begins, six luminous figures drift gracefully through the crowd, weaving between people and pools of light. Their silver radiance follows every movement, transforming the familiar city after dark into something dreamlike and otherworldly.

For a moment, the boundary between everyday and the enchanted seems to disappear.

The city is the stage. The story is waiting to unfold around you.
